Directors
Accountability to Our Members
Each cooperative member is located within a director district, with representation to the Board of Directors by a fellow member who was elected from the cooperative membership. There are nine Director Districts, with each director elected to serve a three-year term. The director terms are staggered, providing continuity in planning and programs. Directors must reside in the district which they represent and must have an active account with Jackson Electric Cooperative.
Annually, district meetings are generally held in February, at which time directors are elected. Ratification of the election of directors is held at the memberships annual meeting, held in March.
