To accommodate your construction schedule, please allow us adequate time to obtain the needed equipment. The sooner we know your project requirements, the better we can meet your service request.
If you plan on having Jackson Electric Cooperative install new electric service on your property after November 1, an additional charge may be applied if the conventional method of electric service installation is not feasible due to frost.
When you visit Jackson Electric Cooperative regarding your new line build, please note the following will be asked of you:
1- You must be an active member. Please complete the new member application.
2- All easements must be signed, notarized and returned to Jackson Electric Cooperative. It is your responsibility to provide us with your legal land description.
3- All service and line construction fees must be paid in full.
4- Metering package and associated wiring must be complete and in accordance to applicable wiring codes.
5- A wire affidavit must be completed and returned to Jackson Electric Cooperative by the person performing the new service wiring.
6- Basement backfill or house slab must be in place.
During your site visit, we will discuss the following:
Meter location
Dusk to Dawn light location
Transformer location and size
Present and future property improvements
