Youth Ambassador Program
If you are a high school sophomore, junior or senior and want to learn more about cooperative principles, develop leadership skills, and explore careers in a cooperative, then the Youth Ambassador Program is designed especially for you!
The Youth Ambassador Program will give students the opportunity to learn about the functions of a board of directors by preparing a case study throughout the school year; touring our wholesale power supplier, Dairyland Power Cooperative; visiting a job site; taking part in community events; and taking advantage of leadership activities at the UW-River Falls and Washington DC.
Students who actively participate in this program have an opportunity to apply for the Youth Ambassador $1,000 scholarship. The recipient of this scholarship has the desire to continue his or her education beyond high school and is actively involved in leadership activities promoted by the Program.
To learn more about this program, click on the following or contact Jackson Electric Cooperative. Please return the application form to Jackson Electric Cooperative by August 1, 2011.
